Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs for service or repairs
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating tools, clearly explaining repair options and costs to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize work orders based on urgency and parts availability, ensuring timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignments, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on vehicle diagnostics and customer needs to maximize dealership revenue while maintaining transparency
- Manage cash handling processes accurately during payments and ensure proper documentation of all transactions
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories for future reference
- Foster positive relationships with customers by providing exceptional service technician support and ensuring their questions are answered thoroughly
Skills
- Must have experience with a strong background in auto service management and automotive repair processes
- Deep understanding of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension systems, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and alignment procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Skilled in auto estimating software and sales techniques to promote additional services effectively
- Mechanical knowledge combined with experience working as a service technician or mechanic is highly desirable
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining confidentiality and integrity
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple work orders efficiently in a fast-paced environment
