We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Oil Change Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with a focus on oil changes, tire services, and basic diagnostics. The Oil Change Technician will perform routine maintenance, assist with vehicle inspections, and support the overall operation of the service department to ensure vehicles are serviced efficiently and accurately. Responsibilities
- Perform oil changes using appropriate hand tools and power tools, ensuring proper procedures are followed for different vehicle makes and models
- Conduct tire services including rotations, replacements, and alignments as needed
- Use mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as fluid top-offs, filter replacements, and brake inspections
- Operate diagnostic equipment to assess vehicle performance and identify issues
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions professionally
- Assist with sales of additional services or products when appropriate
- Lift heavy objects safely during maintenance tasks, adhering to safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Dealership experience or automotive repair background preferred
- Hands-on experience with vehicle maintenance, oil changes, tire service, and alignments required
- Familiarity with automotive service procedures, hand tools, power tools, and basic mechanical knowledge essential
- Service technician experience is advantageous but not mandatory for entry-level candidates willing to learn
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
