Duties
- Perform comprehensive automotive diagnostics to identify issues with vehicles, including electrical systems, powertrain, and transmissions.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on GM vehicles and other makes, utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively.
- Execute vehicle alignments and other essential services to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to facilitate accurate repairs.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance service efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area while adhering to safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs and repair options.
- Assist in auto estimating for repair costs and timelines based on diagnostics performed.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay current with automotive technology advancements, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and diesel engine repair.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Service Technician
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, welding techniques, and diesel engine repair is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
