What are the responsibilities and job description for the Low Voltage Technician position at Jase Networks Inc?
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE- LOW VOLTAGE TECH
This is a Part time – Full time position on a 1099. There may be some down time in between weeks due to project start dates. Pay will be $25.00-$30.00ph based on experience and knowledge of position. Company will provide All tools and work van if qualified. Some out-of-state travel will be required and all hotel accommodation and per diem will be paid for by the company.
Duties:
- Performs Cabling installations, for New Projects, Add Ons for Data, Fiber Coax, CCTV,
- Data, Voice, Fiber optic, IP cameras, Coax RG6 and RG 11, Access Control Wireless Access Points, and Audio video.
- WAP’s. Including Demo work of removing low voltage cabling.
- Performs preventative maintenance on Cameras, Phone systems, WAP’s, Network switches and other hardware including rack and stack.
- Troubleshoot low voltage cabling used in video, voice, audio, fiber optic and data systems.
- Maintain and input records or reports related to testing/inspecting activities.
- Installing, terminating, dressing low-voltage cabling (CAT6, Coax and Fiber Optic) at client jobsites.
- Assist in build out and configuration of Infrastructure Rack Equipment rooms.
- Troubleshoot miscellaneous cabling and connectivity.

Job Requirements:
- Willingness at times to travel to customers across Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Minnesota.
- Willing to support and work the necessary hours to finish critical work.
- Fully squat, stoop, or kneel.
- Maintain a standing position for long periods of time while terminating, testing cables.
· Must be able to carry and climb 6, 8,10, and 12 foot ladders.
- Work off ladders and/or Scissor/boom lifts.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions including cold, rain, heat, etc.
- Ability to tolerate high noise levels subject to a construction site
- Ability to work full-time, including overtime, flexible hours or as needed. Some work may fall in between weeks and will require taking unpaid time off.
- A high school diploma or GED
- Must have a valid driver's license to drive company provided work van.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to terminate CAT6 Cable, Coax RG6 and Fiber Optic SM or MM using company provided tools.
