Hiring for a Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer to join the R&D team of a growing high tech industrial manufacturing company. This is an onsite role. In this position you will support NPD tasks through the design of electric motor assemblies, draw & model assemblies, and design the test rigs to test the electric motors. Experience with industrial motor design, rotating equipment design or similar is required.

- Support the design of new products & prototypes, while contributing to sustaining engineering activities for active product portfolio.
- Produce detailed designs, assess performance criteria, and ensure seamless functionality within overall system architecture
- Coordinates with manufacturing partners to ensure production releases meet design criteria
- Engineer and develop complex mechanical machine components using standard design procedures.
- Provides FEA, CFD and thermal analysis of complex electro-mechanical systems
- Perform in-depth component and system evaluations using a blend of simulation tools and hands-on lab testing
- Analyze structural integrity, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer to evaluate system performance across varying operating conditions, informing design improvements and enhancing reliability
- Develop and execute test plans, interpret results, validate performance against specifications, and iterate designs using both empirical and modeled data
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards (e.g., UL, IEC, NEMA, ATEX); support certification testing, documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- B.S. degree in mechanical engineering
- 7 years of experience in rotating equipment or industrial electric motor design
- Strong skills with PTC Creo desired
- Experience performing advanced engineering analysis of electro-mechanical systems, including but not limited to: Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and thermal modeling.
- Knowledge of ANSI, ASME IEC motor industry codes & standards
- Due to contractual obligations, US Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required.
Salary : $90,000 - $150,000
