About The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. You'll work closely with our Senior Accountants on key projects and day-to-day operations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financials.
Responsibilities
Assist in monthly close procedures and reconciliations
Manage and review credit card and marketing invoices
Support the tracking of accrued liabilities and expense accounts (e.g., AMEX cards, expense departments)
Help prepare and present budget reports
Participate in audits by compiling necessary financial documentation
Contribute to various projects under the direction of Senior Accountants
Maintain accurate records in line with internal controls and company policy
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
1-2 years of experience in accounting, either through internships, public auditing, or private industry
Understanding of accounting principles (e.g., fixed assets, depreciation, balance sheet expenses)
Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow professionally
Prior exposure to ERP systems or audit support preferred
Preferred Extras
Experience as a teacher's assistant for accounting classes
Internship experience in accounting or finance
Understanding of financial audits and how to prepare for them
