- Execute Preventative Maintenance (PM) plans.
- Troubleshoot and repair all machinery and equipment.
- Request tools, equipment, and supplies as required.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts.
- Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications and standards.
- Train machine operators when needed.
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
- Analyze, troubleshoot and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving work mechanical/electrical problems.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
- Support Plant Safety Program.
- Install and repair plumbing throughout the plant & offices.
- Make minor electrical repairs on machinery, equipment and building electrical supply.
- Maintain and repair fans throughout the buildings.
- Installation and removal of machinery and equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred.
- Five or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems.
- Must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend.
