Overview
We are seeking an experienced Crane Operator for a truck mounted crane to safely operate cranes and related lifting equipment on construction and job sites across the Mid-Atlantic region. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of crane operations, load charts, rigging practices, hand signals, site safety procedures, and equipment inspections. This position requires attention to detail, good communication, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilitie
- Safely operate cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials, equipment, and structural components.
- Review lift plans, load charts, site conditions, and equipment capacity before each lift.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Coordinate with riggers, signal persons, supervisors, and crew members to complete lifts safely and efficiently.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA requirements, and job-site procedures.
- Maintain clear communication using hand signals, radios, or other approved communication methods.
- Assist with crane setup, breakdown, stabilization, and travel as needed.
- Keep equipment clean, organized, and properly maintained.
- Work in varying weather conditions and travel to job sites in DE, MD, VA, PA, and WV.
Qualifications
- Previous crane operating experience required.
- Valid crane operator certification from NCCCO required based on equipment and job-site requirements.
- Knowledge of OSHA crane safety standards, rigging practices, load charts, and safe lifting procedures.
- Ability to read and understand lift plans, site drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Valid driver’s license (Class B CDL) and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to travel to job sites throughout DE, MD, VA, PA, and WV using the Crane as transportation.
- Must be dependable, safety-focused, and able to work well with field crews and supervisors.
- Ability to work outdoors, stand for extended periods, climb, bend, and lift as required by the job.
Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
