DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
Project Manager gains detailed experience in Janicki Industries procedures, standards, and expectations. After completion of mentorship, the incumbent may be assigned projects to lead for internal customers in the design and production of composite tooling, metallic tooling, or production parts. As part of a team, the Project Manager organizes and directs assigned activities that are carried out to satisfy project objectives. Successful Project Managers may become eligible for role advancement in the Project Manager job hierarchy, with additional associated opportunities and responsibilities, at the discretion of the supervisor.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and executes a specific project plan
- Facilitates communication and consultation with production; oversees project manufacturing
- Develops and analyzes schedules and budgets
- Reports schedule progress regularly to the internal customer
- Develops and releases work orders and purchases supplies
- Performs design and drafting tasks related to the processing of a requested product
- Enforces 5S and AS9100 Standards and Practices throughout all work performed
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Behavior: The incumbent must work well under pressure, meeting and completing multiple deadlines. The incumbent shall, at all times, demonstrate cooperative behavior with colleagues and supervisors
- Being at work on time and maintaining good attendance is a condition of employment and is an essential function of the job
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). Janicki will assist with gaining this access once employed. Special Access Program or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position and requires candidate agreement to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial design technology, or a related field is preferred. Education may be substituted with equivalent industry experience in aerospace, marine, or transportation industrial manufacturing.
- SAP experience strongly preferred
- Strong communication skills through written, verbal, and graphical mediums
- Able to work effectively as an individual and a team member
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is required
- Experience with CATIA and NX CAD software is required
- Detailed understanding of the product development and product realization processes
- Able to handle demanding schedules
- Competency in project planning process
Detailed Wage Information
Wage range for this role is between 115,000-150,000, plus a discretionary bonus, 401(k) matching, vacation, and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts, off-site work, and access pay. The range provided is Janicki’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities
