Role Description
This is a full-time position with our headquarters based in Bellingham, Washington. Remote/hybrid schedule possible. The Fundraising and Partnerships Lead will oversee and execute fundraising initiatives, cultivate relationships with donors, and develop strategic partnerships to support the organization's mission. Responsibilities include managing fundraising campaigns, creating and maintaining donor engagement plans, identifying new partnership opportunities, organizing events, and preparing grant proposals. The role involves working collaboratively with the team to ensure the financial sustainability of The Millie Project's programs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fundraising, including managing campaigns, donor engagement, and grant writing
- Strong relationship-building skills to develop and maintain partnerships with donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders
- Experience organizing and executing events to support fundraising and partnerships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft compelling proposals and promotional materials
- Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities
- Proficiency with fundraising software, CRM platforms, and other relevant digital tools
- Experience in non-profit organizations, particularly in animal welfare, is a strong advantage
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Communications, Marketing, or a related field is preferred
