Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating learning environment for young children. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, implementing curriculum, and supporting the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as math, language, and social skills.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity.
- Assess children's progress and adapt teaching methods to meet individual needs, including those with special educational requirements.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support each child's educational journey.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development.
- Collaborate with other educators to develop curriculum and share best practices in early childhood education.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Experience in curriculum development tailored for Toddler-aged children.
- Proficiency in lesson planning that incorporates diverse learning styles.
- Familiarity with special education strategies to support all learners effectively.
- Understanding of childhood development milestones and how they influence learning.
- Experience working with preschool students in various capacities, including tutoring or classroom settings.
- Ability to create engaging math activities that promote early numeracy skills.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members.
- Some knowledge in ASL Preferred.
