Duties
- Prepare and assemble a variety of baked goods, pastries, and desserts with attention to detail and presentation.
- Manage packaging of finished products to ensure freshness, quality, and visual appeal for retail or catering purposes.
- Assist in food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to maintain compliance with food safety regulations.
- Support food production processes by measuring ingredients accurately and following established recipes and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of orders while maintaining high standards of quality.
- Contribute to kitchen operations by preparing ingredients, cleaning workstations, and maintaining equipment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in baking, or pastry arts within a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment.
- Strong skills in food preparation, food handling, and kitchen safety protocols.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques including cooking, food industry standards, and knife skills.
- Experience with food packaging, presentation, and customer service is highly desirable.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork.
- Formal training or certification in culinary arts or pastry arts is preferred but not mandatory for highly motivated candidates.
