Jamestown Healing Clinic is seeking a dedicated and organized Transportation Manager to oversee and lead our patient transportation program. This position supports an integrated care clinic providing primary care, dental, behavioral health, and opiate use disorder treatment services. The Transportation Manager will ensure safe, reliable, and lawful transportation services for JHC patients while supervising transportation staff and managing daily program operations.

Monday through Friday, 5:30 am – 2:00 pm
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the JHC Transportation Program
-
Evaluate and implement schedule or policy changes for transportation services
-
Coordinate transportation services with internal departments and external agencies
-
Stay current on local, state, and federal laws and regulations affecting transportation operations

Pursue, secure, and administer grants to support the transportation program
-
Coordinate with Clallam and Jefferson County Public Transportation regarding grants, patient transit use, and discounted transportation passes

Analyze ridership data to determine future routing and staffing needs

Ensure all transportation services are conducted safely and lawfully

Conduct inspections of vehicles and garage property to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations

Ensure completion of daily safety inspections and coordinate scheduled vehicle maintenance

Direct and manage dispatching, routing, and tracking of transportation vehicles

Coordinate and process transportation billing for tribal patients

Supervise up to six transportation drivers and cross-train appropriate JHC staff as drivers

Ensure drivers are fully trained on transportation policies and procedures

Provide transportation services for patients when drivers are unavailable

Educate patients on local transportation options and appropriate rider etiquette

Attend meetings, seminars, and conferences related to transportation operations and technology

Perform other duties as assigned in support of the program

Adhere to all JHC policies and procedures, including HIPAA, safety standards, and Occupational Exposure Control Plan requirements
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university; requirement may be waived with a minimum of five years of successful management experience

Knowledge of transportation equipment, policies, procedures, and operational strategies

Ability to evaluate problems and implement effective solutions

Understanding of transportation system performance measures and safety practices

Knowledge of and adherence to RCW, WAC, and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations

Ability to conduct oneself ethically and professionally at all times

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations

Knowledge of office administrative operations, personnel management, and compliance

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Strong time management, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Ability to maintain patient confidentiality

Cultural sensitivity and understanding of challenges faced by JHC patients

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Ability to meet current vaccine requirements for employment

Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check

Valid Washington State Driver’s License with ability to travel locally and regionally as assigned

CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to complete employer-provided training upon hire
