The Jamestown Family Dental Clinic (JFDC) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodial Maintenance professional to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This position independently performs routine custodial, groundskeeping, and light maintenance duties in accordance with OSHA/WISHA standards and Clinic policies.

Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM
Essential Functions

Perform routine custodial duties including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, waxing and polishing floors, walls, and woodwork

Dust furniture and equipment; empty and clean wastebaskets; polish furniture and metal fixtures

Wash windows; vacuum rugs, curtains, and furniture

Clean restrooms and restock paper and soap supplies

Perform minor maintenance and repair work on electrical circuits, steam or waterlines, plumbing fixtures, lights, and partitions

Clean clogged drains and use hand-held equipment to unplug sewer lines inside the building

Perform groundskeeping and general light maintenance, including pressure washing, debris removal, replacing light bulbs, adjusting furniture, and similar activities

Maintain and repair heavy-duty floor machines such as washers, vacuums, and buffers

Replace drive wheels, valves, and electrical switches; oil motors and clean terminals

Maintain parts and equipment supplies for repairs

Unlock and secure doors before and after cleaning activities

Report facility needs and concerns to appropriate staff and assist with work order recommendations

Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly

Assist with inventory of cleaning equipment and supplies and notify appropriate staff when reordering is needed

Assist with snow removal and deicing

Clean and sterilize surgical, dental, and medical equipment according to established protocols

Clean assigned routes within Clinic standards and infection control requirements while following OSHA/WISHA regulations

Attend all required safety training, including annual Bloodborne Pathogens and HIPAA classes

Perform office assistant duties such as shopping and running errands as needed

Adhere to the daily JFDC Cleaning Policy and all Jamestown S’Klallam Tribe policies and procedures, including safety standards and work practices outlined in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan

Perform additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent

Two (2) years of custodial, maintenance, or related experience

Previous experience using a variety of cleaning tools and equipment

Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Basic computer skills

Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

Ability to interpret and follow written guidelines and verbal instructions

Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively as part of a team

Strong organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills
