Associate Clinical Manager

The Associate Clinical Manager supports the Clinical Manager in overseeing the therapeutic integrity and day-to-day clinical operations of a 16-bed Evaluation & Treatment (E&T) facility at Jamestown Salish Seasons. This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week.

This role plays a key part in staff training, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical oversight of Treatment Assistant staff to ensure safe, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care.

The Associate Clinical Manager serves as a clinical resource and consultant, participates in quality improvement efforts, and assumes delegated leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Clinical Manager. In addition to leadership duties, this role provides direct patient care through psychotherapy, clinical groups, and behavioral interventions.

 

Essential Functions

Clinical Training

  • Serve as the Lead Clinical Trainer, developing and delivering curriculum for RNs, MHPs, Treatment Assistants, and other clinical staff

  • Ensure competency in crisis de-escalation and Tribal healing practices

  • Support onboarding and ongoing competency development in crisis stabilization and trauma-informed care

Clinical Operations Support

  • Provide clinical consultation and oversight to Treatment Assistant Shift Supervisors and Treatment Assistants

  • Support safe and therapeutic unit operations

  • Assist staff with implementing behavioral interventions and maintaining a structured therapeutic milieu

Quality Improvement (QI)

  • Support Quality Management and Quality Improvement initiatives

  • Assist with monitoring clinical outcomes, chart audits, and performance improvement activities

  • Participate in incident reviews and quality assurance processes

Staff Supervision

  • Provide clinical supervision and coaching to Treatment Assistant Shift Supervisors and Treatment Assistants

  • Offer real-time coaching and performance guidance to support a high-retention, supportive workplace culture

  • Support staff during behavioral incidents and provide guidance on crisis intervention and de-escalation

Direct Patient Care

  • Conduct 1:1 psychotherapy sessions

  • Facilitate clinical groups

  • Implement therapeutic activities that foster patient healing and wellness

Behavioral Oversight

  • Utilize Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) expertise to develop individualized treatment plans for patients with complex behavioral needs

Cultural Competence

  • Collaborate with Tribal leadership, traditional healers, and community representatives

  • Integrate Tribal culture, values, and traditional healing practices into clinical programming, orientation, and training

  • Demonstrate cultural humility when working with American Indian/Alaska Native patients and families

  • Promote staff understanding of social and cultural contexts of the populations served

Administrative Duties

  • Provide input on clinical budgets, staffing needs, and resource allocation

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies (safety, infection control, confidentiality)

  • Provide after-hours clinical consultation as needed for 24/7 operations

  • Perform other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA or BCBA-D)

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related behavioral health field

  • Current post-master’s licensure required (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Clinical Psychologist, or equivalent)

  • Minimum four (4) years of progressive supervisory experience in behavioral health

  • Experience in inpatient, voluntary residential, or crisis stabilization settings

  • Familiarity with Washington State behavioral health regulations

Knowledge

  • Evidence-based practices in behavioral health and crisis stabilization

  • Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and risk management

  • Federal and state confidentiality laws (42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA)

  • Behavioral health statutes (RCW 71.24; WAC 246-337)

  • Quality assurance and performance improvement principles

  • Documentation standards and EHR systems

Skills

  • Strong clinical leadership and team management

  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally/regionally

  • Ability to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

  • American Indian/Alaska Native preference applies

  • Experience working with Tribal communities

Salary : $98,193 - $137,470
