JOB SUMMARY :
Jamestown is seeking to hire a Senior Acquisitions Analyst in Atlanta to focus on real estate investments across the major U.S. markets in which it invests. This individual will collaborate to execute the full cycle of acquisitions for opportunities in mixed-use, office, retail, multifamily, and other more niche asset classes.
The candidate should demonstrate a strong track record of underwriting and closing a variety of transactions, representing different risk / return profiles, with some exposure to assets requiring development and / or re-development. The candidate should couple strong analytical acumen with a collaborative nature and entrepreneurial spirit.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
Evaluate, underwrite, and execute real estate investment opportunities across multiple property types and geographies.Build financial models in RedIQ, Excel and Argus utilizing budgets, leases / lease abstracts, expense information, market leasing assumptions, and property informationAssist with review of new investment opportunities including review of offering materials, conducting research, or discussing opportunities with brokers or sellersRegister and update deals on the Pipeline and Leads List reportsMaintain and update due diligence checklistsConduct or oversee market research including compiling and synthesizing comparable property information and maps for property sales or leasing information in PowerPointConduct lease analysisSupport legal review process, which may include review of physical or environmental reports; title reports; and surveysSupport closing processAs requested, conduct research and / or author white papers on property types, markets or submarkets, or other industry trendsPerform other related duties as assigned.REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field of study from an accredited institution2 or more years of experience in institutional-level real estate investment, investment analysis, or a related fieldProficiency in financial modeling and analysis, with advanced skills in Argus and ExcelStrong understanding of commercial real estate fundamentals, including market analysis, valuation methods, and investment metricsOrganizational and interpersonal abilitiesAbility to meet deadlines, accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure & effectiveness under pressure and changing conditionsSelf-motivation, leadership, teamwork and collaboration.Detail oriented, logical, and methodical approach to problem solving, with a demonstrated track record of delivering actionable insights and recommendations.Exceptional written and verbal communicationReal Estate professionals at Jamestown are generally expected to work overtime hours, to be available for evening and weekend work as needed, and to respond to requests promptly, asking, if necessary, for specific guidance on deadlines.
