We are a small, family-owned residential construction company specializing in high-end custom homes, restoration, renovation, and fine woodworking. We are looking for hardworking, flexible carpenters who take pride in their work and want to be part of a hands-on team.
Our projects offer a wide variety of experience and require a high level of craftsmanship. Team members have the opportunity to work across different phases of residential construction, from demolition and rough framing through finish carpentry, cabinetry, millwork, and complex installations.
The Role
Carpenters will work on high-end residential projects throughout Columbia County. The work includes both job site and shop-based carpentry, with opportunities to develop skills across multiple areas of the trade.
Responsibilities may include:
- Rough framing and residential framing
- General site carpentry and construction
- Finish carpentry
- Cabinetry and millwork installation
- Woodworking and shop-based millwork
- Demolition and preparation
- Installation of custom architectural details
- Working from plans and project specifications
- Identifying and addressing problems in the field
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe job site
- Protecting and respecting clients' homes and property
- Communicating professionally with clients when required
There is expected to be overlap between these areas. We value versatility and are looking for carpenters who are willing to work across different phases of a project.
What We Are Looking For
We are open to candidates at different levels of experience.
- Entry-level candidates with little or no construction experience who are motivated to learn the trade are welcome to apply.
- Candidates with construction experience should have a basic working knowledge of residential construction and carpentry.
- Experienced carpenters with 10 years in the trade are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to understand and work from project plans is expected for experienced carpenters.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, hardworking, and dependable.
- Flexible and willing to learn different aspects of residential construction.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship.
- Clean, organized, and orderly work habits.
- Considerate of clients' homes, property, and privacy.
- Able to identify problems and take initiative to address them appropriately.
- Professional and comfortable interacting with clients when necessary.
