Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, repairing, and maintaining structures and fixtures using a variety of hand and power tools. Responsibilities
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise execution of projects
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and install wood, metal, drywall, stucco, siding, framing components, and other building materials
- Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks with accuracy to meet project specifications
- Install rebar for concrete reinforcement and assist with metal building erection when required
- Operate power tools such as saws, drills, sanders, and welding equipment safely and efficiently
- Execute masonry work including laying bricks or blocks and plastering surfaces as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor tasks to support project timelines while maintaining safety standards
Skills
- Extensive experience with carpentry techniques including trim carpentry, framing (including metal stud framing), roofing, drywall installation, and remodeling projects
- Proficiency in reading construction plans and interpreting technical drawings or schematics
- Strong knowledge of construction site safety protocols and ability to operate heavy equipment responsibly
- Skilled in using hand tools such as tape measures (with proficiency in dimensional measurements), levels, chisels, hammers, and saws
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and material estimations
- Experience with concrete forming, finishing techniques, rebar installation, plastering, siding installation, restoration work, and welding is highly desirable
- Capable of working at heights or in confined spaces while adhering to safety guidelines
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and understanding project requirements
