We are a critically acclaimed (NJ Monthly's Top 30 & NJ Digest Top 25), seasonal American restaurant known for high-quality ingredients, warm hospitality, and an open kitchen centered around a wood-fired grill. We're also growing our off-site catering operation and looking for passionate team members to join us.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Grill Chef to join our culinary team. This position is responsible for executing wood-fired menu items with precision and consistency during dinner service, as well as supporting production for our growing catering. The right candidate will be passionate about cooking, highly organized, and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain the wood-fired grill station during dinner service.
- Execute grilled proteins and vegetables to specification.
- Assist with prep and production for on- and off-site catering events.
- Maintain station cleanliness and organization in line with kitchen standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and kitchen team.
- Uphold food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols.
Requirements:
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Dependable and available for a Wednesday through Sunday schedule.
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Required days: Wednesday through Sunday
- Closed: Monday & Tuesday
- Closed on Major Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas, Easter, July 4th
- Closed Summer Recess: First Weekend in August
