What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part-Time Nanny/Household Assistant position at James Household?
Pay: $15–$18 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Approximately 12-15 hours per week, ideally Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Shifts will be about 4-5 hours during the daytime, within the 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. window.
I’m looking for a dependable, caring person to help care for our baby at home while I handle household responsibilities and administrative tasks for my family’s businesses. Occasionally, I might ask you to go with me to run errands and sit with the baby in the back seat to keep them occupied.
Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, safe care for our baby
- Keep the baby engaged with age-appropriate play and activities
- Offer solid foods according to my instructions
- Help with light household tasks when the baby is settled, such as dishes, laundry, tidying, or simple meal preparation
Childcare is the main responsibility. I breastfeed and will be home and available to nurse the baby as needed. Our baby has started eating solid foods. We also have a dog, so you must be comfortable around dogs.
I plan to return to school in 2027 to complete my Family Nurse Practitioner Clinical Rotations. At first, I’ll be home, but the role will include some days when you’re caring for the baby independently for several hours.
Qualifications

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
