Summary
The Electrical Estimator is responsible for assisting the Estimating and Preconstruction teams in pursuing work through the development of proposal responses, providing preconstruction services, preparing competitive bid responses and compiling Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposals for negotiated projects, with a specific focus on the Electrical discipline.

$88,000.00 - $105,000.00

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Two (2) to six (6) years’ experience in estimating or construction within the electrical trades
- Experience bidding and budgeting the electrical trades
- Experience with quantity takeoff software
- Familiarity with the design process and related design disciplines
- Plan reading experience
- Specialized application experience
- Supports estimate / bid / GMP assembly for the trade specialization
- Performs scope writing and qualification development; proficient in Division 16 trades
- Solicits and reviews bids from trade partners and material suppliers; analyzes submitted responses to identify missing scope, listed qualifications, noted exclusions and work to compare equivalent bid submissions
- Performs basic quantity takeoffs
- Reviews documents for quality control; supports constructability reviews
- Assists in the development of specific systems analyses and creation of Value Engineering and Alternates lists/logs
- Supports trade partner solicitation and communication/coordination; familiar with trade partner specialization; responsible for trade partner / supplier coverage and effective communication and management
- Researches and compiles historical data for use in future estimate preparation and bids
- Builds relationships with trade partners and design teams
- Becomes familiar with the trade partner buyout process
- Attends design meetings and presentations as required
