Our client, DAVIS Construction, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support and lead the execution of commercial construction projects across the DMV. As a Project Manager, you’ll play a hands‑on role across the full project lifecycle—from preconstruction and buyout through closeout—partnering closely with Superintendents, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality projects safely, on schedule, and within budget.

- On-site, Rockville, MD (HQ-based with regional project assignments)
What You’ll Do
- Support and lead day‑to‑day project management activities from preconstruction through closeout
- Enforce DAVIS’ safety program and participate in jobsite safety walks and audits
- Assist with project estimating, bidding, and GMP development, including trade scope reviews
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost tracking, and financial forecasting
- Lead subcontractor buyout, contract negotiation, and subcontract administration
- Manage schedules, material status logs, and project controls to ensure on‑time delivery
- Review and coordinate submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and contract documents
- Prepare, negotiate, and execute change orders and budget revisions
- Lead internal, owner, and subcontractor meetings; prepare agendas and meeting minutes
- Maintain accurate contract documentation, as‑builts, and project records
- Prepare monthly owner billings and review subcontractor/vendor invoices
- Partner with the Superintendent on logistics, sequencing, and site coordination
- Support closeout activities including punch lists, turnover documentation, and final reconciliation
- Utilize DAVIS quality management systems to ensure compliance with contract and company standards
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4 years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a General Contractor
- Strong understanding of construction project management practices, including safety, quality, and cost control
- Experience managing subcontractor contracts, buyout, and change management
- Working knowledge of schedules, budgets, and project controls systems
- Experience with project management and scheduling software (Primavera, MS Project, or similar)
- Effective communicator with owners, design teams, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain a big‑picture view while owning details
- OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
- LEED project experience or certification preferred

Salary range: $105,000–$140,000 annually
Note: Candidates whose experience aligns with Senior PM responsibilities may be considered at a higher compensation range.
