FUNCTION: The Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance, safety, and overall functionality of company buildings, grounds, and operational equipment. This role ensures that facilities and machinery operate efficiently, comply with regulations, and provide a safe, clean, and productive environment for employees and visitors.
REPORTING TO: Chief Operating Officer
Duties & Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Combination of office work and on-site facility inspections with exposure to mechanical rooms, equipment areas, and outdoor conditions. There will also be exposure to noise, dust, and industrial machinery. Must have availability for on-call emergency maintenance issues and occasional evening or weekend work. JFT has implemented a 9/80 work schedule, and the office is closed every other Friday.

Duties & Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance
- Oversee daily building operations and maintenance activities
- Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Ensure HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems operate effectively
- Coordinate repairs, renovations, and facility upgrades
- Oversee maintenance and servicing of company machines and operational equipment
- Develop preventive maintenance schedules for machinery
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs
- Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records
- Coordinate with production/operations teams to minimize downtime
- Source, negotiate, and manage service contracts
- Supervise contractors and service providers
- Ensure work is completed on time and within budget
- Monitor vendor performance and compliance
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure machinery meets safety standards and inspection requirements
- Implement emergency preparedness and response plans
- Maintain accurate compliance documentation
- Develop and manage facilities and maintenance budgets
- Track expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Approve invoices and monitor financial performance
- Manage office layout, moves, and space utilization
- Support workplace improvements and sustainability initiatives
- Coordinate workplace and operational area upgrades

Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of facilities and/or industrial maintenance experience
- Experience managing machinery maintenance programs
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- Budget management and cost control expertise
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of building systems and industrial equipment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Windows operating systems
