**Dental Insurance Specialist**
**Overview:**
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Insurance Specialist in a thriving dental practice. We are seeking a dedicated individual to provide exceptional care to our valued patients. This position offers the opportunity to work in a professional and supportive environment where your skills and expertise will be highly valued.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform dental insurance verification processes efficiently and accurately, and obtain pre-estimates of insurance coverage for upcoming dental services
- Follow up on un-paid insurance claims to assist in getting them paid
- Post insurance payments (both digital and physical payments) in the appropriate patients ledger in Dentrix
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions and data handling.
- Assist in managing office operations to ensure smooth workflow.
- Utilize ADA dental billing coding, and to a lesser extent, utilize ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems effectively.
- Coordinate with dental and medical professionals in a collaborative manner.
- Demonstrate proficiency in dental office procedures and protocols.
- Apply knowledge of dental and to a lesser extent, medical coding and terminology to support billing processes.
- Familiarity with managed care systems for efficient patient management.

This could be a full-time position if you have the ability, and the desire to fulfill the roles of a bookkeeper as well. This involves light accounting using QuickBooks to pay vendors, balance checking accounts, and transmit financial information to our corporate accountant.
