Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Accounting Clerk located in Philadelphia, PA. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate bookkeeping records, helping to prepare monthly financial statements, and utilizing accounting software for data entry and reporting. This role involves collaborating with the accounting and estimating team to ensure compliance with organizational policies and financial standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Post AR billings/payables // AP Invoice entry to the GL
- Process daily deposit slips and receipts vouchers
- Process Union benefits payments for various building trades
- Work with Job teams in coordinating billing, payments, and processing for subcontractors
- Monthly operating and payroll account reconciliations
- Weekly Petty cash and expense reimbursements
- General support to the Controller, coordinate and handle mail activities.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 3 years accounting experience in a similar role
- Ability to work on-site in NE Philadelphia (M-F, 8-430)
- Solid oral and written communication abilities
- Willingness to learn and adapt on proprietary accounting software
- Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
