Our Schenectady site is growing — and we’re looking for a skilled Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician to join our Operations team.
About the Role
As an E&I Technician, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our production facility. From troubleshooting to planned maintenance, you’ll keep our systems running smoothly while contributing to improvements, upgrades, and engineering enhancements.
You’ll work closely with Maintenance, Production, Quality, and Engineering teams to ensure our advanced manufacturing processes operate at their very best.
What You’ll Do
Electrical & Instrumentation Operations
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems
- Install conduit, wiring, terminations, and electrical components
- Maintain and calibrate instrumentation used for process control
- Inspect, diagnose, and support PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Identify and implement reliability and performance improvements
- Ensure full compliance with SOPs, electrical codes, and safety regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and work orders within the CMMS system
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Production to resolve faults and maximise efficiency
- Work with Quality on calibration, accuracy, and compliance
- Collaborate with Engineering on upgrades, modifications, and system changes
What You’ll Bring;
Required
- Recognized qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field
- Hands-on experience with electrical and instrumentation systems
- Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams and schematics
- Strong working knowledge of PLCs, VFDs, and automation technology
- Proficiency with test instruments and CMMS platforms
Preferred (Not Essential)
- Industrial or manufacturing experience
- Knowledge of DCS/SCADA systems
- Familiarity with Lean/5S principles
- Certifications such as ISA, OSHA, or NCCER

Work Schedule, Conditions, and Other Requirements:
This is a both a hands-on and supervisory position, working Monday through Friday, typically from 7:00 to 15:30, primarily in a production environment. There is some opportunity for flexibility within this work schedule to meet individual needs.
