Job description

Loden Vision Centers is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Music City Surgery Center in Goodlettsville, TN. 

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The RN may be responsible for some or all responsibilities located below:

• Responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case.
• Record patients' medical histories and perform physical examinations to uncover any underlying health issues causing symptoms in the eyes.
• Play a critical role in patient education and treatment by administering medication such as eye drops and showing patients how to care for.
• Assist in eye surgical procedures, prep patients for surgery and care for patients during recovery.
• Handles phone calls from patients who are seeking medical information or medical attention. They will schedule appointments and answer questions in order to provide health education for the patients.
• The RN may assist the physician with complicated nursing care and administering medication, procedures, and treatments.
• At times, assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks and utilizing sterile technique as deemed appropriate.

Pay: Starting at $35.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Active RN license.
• Prior professional nursing experience.
• Certification for Registered Nurses of Ophthalmology preferred.
• Experience working in an ophthalmic setting preferred, experience conducting vision tests, assisting with eye exams and administering medications such as eye drops.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients and caregivers.
• Attention to detail required for recording medical histories and exam results.
• The ideal candidate will be focused on excellent customer service, have the ability to multi-task, the ability to show flexibility in assignments, maintain scrupulous infection control standards, maintain professional competencies and have the ability to work as part of a team.
• Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Competitive salary and benefits for the right candidate.

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Goodlettsville, TN 37072: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Nursing: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Preferred)
• RN certification (Preferred)
