Duties
- Act as the crucial link between the kitchen and front-of-house staff by expediting food orders efficiently and accurately.
- Deliver food and beverages to guests promptly, maintaining presentation standards and ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and garnishing to uphold quality and presentation standards.
- Support servers by bussing tables, refilling drinks, and attending to guest needs to enhance overall service flow.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and payment processing with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, kitchen stations, and service areas to ensure food safety compliance.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and management to coordinate service smoothly during busy hours.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; familiarity with serving, bussing, or food handling is a plus.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques required.
- Experience with POS systems like Aloha or Micros is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Kitchen or culinary experience, hotel experience, or banquet experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- A friendly attitude with excellent guest service skills; a passion for hospitality is essential.
