RISK MANAGEMENT CLINICAL COORDINATOR
Jamaica Hospital Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Risk Management Clinical Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in fostering a culture of safety, quality, and compliance within our healthcare system. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks while ensuring regulatory compliance and enhancing patient and employee safety.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct proactive risk assessments, incident reviews, investigations, and root cause analyses to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement risk reduction strategies to enhance patient safety and reduce financial and legal risks.
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory agencies as required.
- Collaborate with medical staff, legal counsel, and administrative teams to promote risk awareness and policy adherence.
- Facilitate education and training programs to reinforce a just and safety culture.
- Review and analyze medical records to generate accurate and detailed event summaries.
- Assist in policy and system development to enhance continuous learning and improve risk management outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) – Required
- Master’s degree – Preferred
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) – Preferred
- Department is willing to train and may consider exceptional motivated RN with acute hospital experience.
EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of acute hospital experience, preferably in critical care.
- General knowledge of risk management activities within a healthcare setting.
- Strong ability to review medical records, write reports, and manage data effectively.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

- Salary Range: $110,000 - $120,000 per year
