GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The expo is responsible for ensuring all food leaving the kitchen is accurate, properly plated, and delivered in a timely manner. This role serves as the communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house team, helping maintain smooth operations and high-quality service. The expo must be detail-oriented, organized, and able to work with urgency to support both the kitchen and service staff in creating an exceptional guest experience.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.) Complete all opening, during shift, and closing duties.
2.) Organize and manage tickets to ensure proper food timing and accuracy.
3.) Communicate clearly with kitchen staff and front-of-house team.
4.) Inspect all dishes for quality, presentation, and accuracy before leaving the kitchen.
5.) Ensure all plates are properly garnished and meet Jakes standards.
6.) Call out orders and coordinate food delivery to tables efficiently.
7.) Assist in maintaining a clean and organized expo line and kitchen pass area.
8.) Monitor ticket times and help prioritize orders during high-volume periods.
9.) Work with servers and bartenders to ensure correct food is delivered to the right guests.
10.) Assist in running food when needed to support service flow.
11.) Maintain cleanliness by wiping surfaces, organizing plates, and keeping the area stocked.
12.) Sweep, mop, and assist with general kitchen cleanliness as needed.
13.) Be a high-energy, self-motivated team member and support overall team success.
Pay: $10.00 per hour
