About the Role
Jaine PR is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Account Executive, Media Relations Specialist to support day-to-day media relations and communications execution for our food, beverage, and CPG clients. This role is ideal for someone early in their PR career who's eager to build hands-on agency experience, sharpen their media relationships, and contribute fresh ideas to client campaigns.
Responsibilities
Media Relations and Outreach
- Research, build, and maintain relationships with food, beverage, and lifestyle media, substackers, and influencers to secure coverage for clients.
- Draft and send media pitches tailored to client products, launches, and brand stories.
- Track media coverage and compile coverage reports for clients.
- Monitor food/beverage/CPG industry trends and competitor activity to inform pitch angles and outreach strategy.
Content Creation and Editing
- Draft, edit, and proofread pitches, press releases, media alerts, and other client-facing materials.
- Help maintain media lists, press kits, and product information sheets.
- Ensure all content reflects each client's brand voice and resonates with target audiences.
Client Communications and Program Support
- Support execution of PR programs for multiple clients, including product launches, sampling opportunities, and seasonal campaigns.
- Assist with coordinating media samples, gifting, and event-related logistics as needed.
- Help prepare materials for client meetings and calls.
Project Management
- Manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously, ensuring timely, high-quality deliverables.
- Stay organized across pitch trackers, coverage logs, and outreach calendars.
Collaboration and Professional Growth
- Participate in client and internal meetings, taking detailed notes and recaps.
- Bring fresh pitch ideas and media contacts to the table.
- Stay current on food, beverage, and CPG media trends, influencer landscape, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2-4 years of PR experience, ideally with exposure to food, beverage, or CPG clients (agency experience a plus).
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft compelling, on-brand pitches and materials.
- Existing or developing relationships with food/beverage media, bloggers, and influencers is a plus.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines.
- Familiarity with media databases, coverage tracking tools, and social platforms.
- Interest in the food, beverage, and CPG space.
