Position Overview: The Junior Account Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the Account Director, contributing to client projects, and assisting with the development and execution of PR strategies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is eager to learn, grow, and become an integral part of our agency and small family. The ideal candidate will be based in New York, NY, and available to work in-office twice a month, with additional time required in-person for media/influencer events and client meetings. Fisher Public Relations offers summer Friday hours, a work from home environment, company paid holiday between Christmas and New Year’s, and Paid Time Off policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and execution of PR strategies and campaigns.
Support Account Director with day-to-day client activities, including research, media monitoring, and reporting.
Draft fact sheets, pitches, and other PR materials.
Build and maintain media lists, and assist in media outreach and follow-ups.
Build relationships with media and influencers.
Coordinate and manage logistics for client events and product launches.
Monitor industry trends and provide insights to the team and clients.
Maintain and update client reports.
Assist with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
1-2 years of experience in public relations, communications, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Familiarity with PR tools and software (e.g., Muckrack, Canva).
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
A team player with a positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
