SUMMARY
- Lead Fresh Pack activities on the shift they are assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead, Fresh Pack employees in all activities on the shift they are assigned.
- Responsible for meeting Production Quotas and fulfilling work orders assigned
- Set up and operation of an optical sorter.
· Responsible for daily operations and documentation verification
§ Verify that the labels and product tags match the work order for that day’s production
§ Complete the Fresh Pack Check, Documents, which includes the Pre-op, Post-op and tool check sections
§ Complete the Fresh Pack Notes,
· Responsible for reviewing and verifying Inventory system
· Responsible for coordinating with Quality Assurance Technician to ensure proper documentation and inventory control including traceability
· Responsible for inspecting totes, liners and pallets for damage and contamination
· Responsible for notifying Maintenance of mechanical issues
· Reports directly to the Production Supervisor
· Responsible for checking the metal detector as described in the QA-SOP
LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
· Leads employees in the Fresh Pack Area. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
· Six months to one year related machine operator experience and/or training; six months in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to develop and write procedures, routine reports and correspondence.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as ratios, production rates, and lbs. per hour. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
REASONING ABILITY
· Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
COMPUTER SKILLS
· To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Manufacturing software; Spreadsheet, Database, Email and Word Processing software. Use a hand held scanner for Parity.

- All personnel are responsible for food safety, food defense and are required to report any food safety risks immediately to their supervisor. All personnel are required to attend Food Safety training annually.
