Role Description The Immigration Attorney will handle a full-time, on-site role based in Seattle, Rockville, MD, Dallas, El Paso o New York City. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of immigration matters from intake through resolution, including family-based petitions, visas, removal defense, and other immigration applications. The attorney will conduct client consultations, prepare and review legal documents and filings, and represent clients before USCIS, immigration courts, and other relevant agencies as needed. Daily tasks include legal research, drafting briefs and motions, maintaining organized case files, and communicating regularly with clients about case strategy and status. The role also involves collaborating with support staff, participating in case reviews, and ensuring compliance with all ethical and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience with Immigration Law, Immigration Issues, and general Immigration matters.
- Experience handling Visas and related immigration applications and petitions.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex Legal Issues within the immigration context.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction or Puerto Rico.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
- Strong client communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluency in Spanish and English required; prior experience in immigration practice strongly desired.
