Position Summary:
Facilities technician needs to skillfully complete assigned tasks at the JAFCO property and buildings as assigned by director or supervisor. Duties including repairs of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting and interior and exterior systems as well as interior space set up and breakdown.
Role and Responsibilities
This person’s job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Complete daily work orders as assigned and tracked in facilities management system
- Daily physical walking check of grounds and perimeter of assigned property to assess conditions
- Facility technican needs to be able to perform on site repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, repair, walls, computer, and safety systems as assigned
- Proactively observe and report on interior or grounds issues daily with attention to detail on appearance and possible safety issues
- Pressure clean outdoor areas and building hard surfaces including glass as asssigned
- Paint walls or interior/ exterior touch-up in common areas as assigned
- Maintain property HVAC, irrigation, access control,gates, security and fire systems as assigned
- Work in a Clean and safe manner to complete assigned tasks efficiently within the team setting
- Remove trash or other discards and move items as needed based on shifts in space usage
- Inventory, receive and distribute cleaning and office supplies to various locations on campus
- Transport off property furniture and other donations and deliver and pick up supplies for events
- Take fleet vehicles for service or perform minor tire or other repairs on site
- Assist team members with any space or office needs replacing or moving furniture
- Properly use and care for tools and equipment and maintain a spotless work area
- Breakdown and set up tables and chairs for meetings and events as assigned
- Other duties as assigned by Director or supervisor

Physical requirements:
To perform the essential functions of this job, the employee must be physically capable of driving an automobile in a safe manner. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, bend, kneel, stand and/or walk continuously and be capable of continuous activity.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
- Property maintenance experience minimum 2 years
- Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record required
- Available to work nights and weekends for projects,events or needs of the agency
- Be able to demonstrate facilities system repair experience in commercial environment
- A team player who can also function independently to complete tasks and learn new techniques
- Able to communicate fluently using the English language verbally, digitally, and in writing
