Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of floors, restrooms, offices, and common areas using commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and scrubbers
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures to prevent accidents or contamination
- Conduct custodial tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and sanitation of surfaces to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with facilities maintenance activities like minor repairs, painting touch-ups, or light industrial cleaning as needed
- Operate cleaning machinery responsibly while practicing safe lifting techniques for heavy items such as furniture or equipment
- Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning processes to ensure a hazard-free environment for yourself and others
- Support customer service efforts by addressing facility-related concerns promptly and professionally
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial roles with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning practices
- Skilled in handling chemical agents safely and understanding chemical handling safety procedures
- Familiarity with cleaning equipment including floor buffers, vacuums, mops, and other custodial tools
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safe lifting practices
