Responsibilities
- Safely operate heavy equipment including reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory control using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately
- Assist in stocking shelves, picking & packing orders, and preparing shipments for delivery or storage
- Conduct regular inventory audits to ensure accuracy and proper stock rotation in compliance with OSHA safety standards
- Handle shipping & receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments, documenting movements, and maintaining detailed records
- Support manufacturing or construction-related activities by transporting materials and supplies as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and mechanical knowledge
Experience
- Proven warehouse experience with familiarity in inventory management, order fulfillment, and materials handling
- Experience operating reach trucks, forklifts, cranes, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), AS400 systems or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms
- Prior experience in shipping & receiving, stock management, or manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during order picking & packing tasks
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for warehouse operations
