Position Summary
The Davis College of Business & Technology at Jacksonville University invites applications for part-time adjunct faculty.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in business from an AACSB accredited institution or a related field with the expertise or experience qualifying them to teach in one of the following areas: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Information Technology, Sports Business, Operations Management, and/or Business Analytics. Individuals must be professionally qualified at time of hire and credentials should be consistent with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools principles of accreditation. Applicants must have abilities, skills and enthusiasm for teaching excellence and instructional innovation.
Essential Job Duties
Conduct face-to-face classroom instruction
Develop engaging lesson plans and course materials that cater to diverse learning styles
Facilitate hands-on learning activities and critical thinking among students through interactive teaching methods
Evaluate student performance through assignments, projects, and examinations
Provide timely and constructive feedback on student performance and assignments
Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success
Maintain regular office hours to support student learning and address their questions or concerns
Collaborate with fellow faculty members and academic staff to enhance curriculum development and program effectiveness
Requirements
Master's degree in business from an AACSB accredited institution or a related field.
Professionally qualified at time of hire with experience significant in duration and responsibility.
Applicants must have abilities, skills and enthusiasm for teaching excellence and instructional innovation.
Prerequisites Required for Position
Earned an advanced degree from an accredited university in the discipline
Minimum of 18 graduate credits in the discipline
One year teaching experience preferred
