University Student Assistant - Mimosa Graphic Designer (Summer 2026 - Fall 2026)

Position Summary:

The Mimosa is the yearbook of Jacksonville State University and in Graphic Design we take great pride in making sure that we show off our skills and show everyone just how great this University really is! The University Student Assistant - Mimosa Graphic designer’s duties are to lay out and design the Mimosa using creative cloud software on a MAC computer. The Graphic Designer will also work with other programs such as InDesign and Photoshop. Additional duties of the Graphic designer include the ability to work on other graphic designs as needed and assist with clerical tasks in support of the department.

Positions may be filled based on individual applicants’ skills, qualifications, and departmental needs.

Adheres to all department and University policies and procedures.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Layout and design the University’s Yearbook, the Mimosa.
• Be able to use Creative Cloud, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Maintain confidentiality of information.
• Ability and willingness to work with a diverse body of faculty, staff, and students.
• Clerical duties as needed by the department.
• Additional design work as required by the department.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicants must be enrolled as a JSU student taking at least three (3) hours per fall or spring semester. (Requirements for international students below. *)
• If not a first-time student, the applicant must have a GPA of 2.00 or higher.
• Selected applicants must provide evidence of student enrollment and GPA (unofficial transcript or printout of enrollment/GPA from MyJSU.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Graphic Design student with creative cloud experience.
