The Jacksonville Marriott is currently seeking an experienced and energetic individual for the position of Catering Manager for our beautifully renovated 255 room hotel with approximately 20,000 sf of flexible meeting space.
Our elegant hotel features modern amenities designed for upscale events in Northeast Florida. We are conveniently at the intersection of 1-95 and JTB, offering guests easy access to popular destinations including Southside, Beaches, St. Johns Town Center and downtown Jacksonville, home to an array of entertainment, sports and dining options.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and able to achieve individual catering sales goals. They will deliver exceptional client services and serve as main hotel contact for assigned events and groups.

Key responsibilities include:
· Promote a role model Marriott image by demonstrating professionalism to both clients and colleagues
· Be actively engaged with guests and fellow team members and demonstrate Marriott Brilliant Service
· Prospecting, booking and servicing the corporate and social catering market, including weddings
· Possess extensive working knowledge of traditional and cultural weddings as well as the social market
· Strong organizational skills, managing multiple tasks at all times and strong communication skills required
· Providing leadership and support to the Banquet Department.
· Achieve established individual catering sales goals and assist the team in achieving departmental booking goals
· Provide exceptional client service and serve as main hotel contact for assigned groups
· Create and analyze weekly, monthly and annual catering budgets, forecasts, and other financial tools to maximize property revenue and sales
· Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays
· Ability to collect accurate information and resolve conflicts
· Ability to display high levels of professionalism during high business levels
Preferred experience is 2 years Sales/Catering at a full-service hotel property of similar size. Other relevant experience will be considered. Salary may be flexible based on experience.
