Food Service Associate

Job Description

Jackson Square Tavern is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Food Service Associate to support daily restaurant operations and provide friendly service to guests. This role involves assisting with food and beverage service, preparing and organizing orders, maintaining clean dining and service areas, and working closely with kitchen and front-of-house team members. The ideal candidate is reliable, attentive, and comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional service.
• Assist with food and beverage service according to restaurant procedures.
• Help take, confirm, and communicate customer orders when needed.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate and timely order preparation.
• Organize completed orders for dine-in, pickup, or takeout service.
• Answer basic questions about menu items and restaurant offerings.
• Maintain clean and organized dining areas, counters, and service stations.
• Clear and reset tables as needed.
• Restock napkins, utensils, condiments, containers, and other service supplies.
• Assist with routine food preparation and order assembly as assigned.
• Follow food-safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and workplace procedures.
• Support opening, closing, and daily restaurant duties.
• Communicate customer concerns and supply needs to supervisors.
• Work cooperatively with kitchen, service, and management teams.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, café, food-service, retail, or customer-service experience is helpful.
• Friendly, respectful, and professional approach to guests.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Good attention to cleanliness, organization, and order accuracy.
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Willingness to learn menu items and restaurant procedures.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Pay: $24.00 - $29.00 per hour
