Geisinger Behavioral Health Center Northeast (GBN) is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide visionary clinical leadership and help shape a high-performing, patient-centered behavioral health system. Position Overview

The Chief Medical Officer will provide clinical and strategic leadership for the psychiatric service line, overseeing a multidisciplinary team of physician providers and advanced practice clinicians. This leader will be instrumental in supporting psychiatry team members, advancing models of care, and sustaining service excellence across the region.

• 92-bed behavioral health hospital

• Average Daily Census: 80–84 patients

• Comprehensive services, including intensive outpatient programs

• Medical staff oversight: 7 physician providers plus a team of APPs

• Psychiatry residency program:

o 3 residents per year, with planned growth to 5 residents annually

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO with completed residency in Psychiatry

• Active Board Certification

• Eligible for or able to obtain Pennsylvania medical license and DEA

• Minimum 7 years of post-residency/fellowship clinical experience

• Current or prior leadership experience in an inpatient or acute care health system setting

• Willingness to actively practice clinically as part of the role
