What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tent Technician position at Jackson Hole Event Rentals?
SEASONAL POSITION THROUGH OCTOBER 5th (potentially until Oct 12th)
POSITION SUMMARY:
Jackson Hole Event Rentals provides rental equipment for local events large and small, including weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and community gatherings. The Tent Tech has the responsibility to help organize, maintain, prepare, deliver, set up and take down the equipment requested by our clients in a timely manner. This equipment includes event tents, tables, chairs, dance floor, stage, lighting, and much more. Tent Techs also help with the fabrication of inventory items, preparing/marking tent sites, driving company vehicles and installation of lighting and heating elements. This position is seasonal and currently only available during the summer. As a representative of Jackson Hole Event Rentals, a collaborative and friendly disposition is required.
HOURS/SHIFTS:
Tent Techs will work five to six days per week, depending on the volume of events. Shifts begin early in the morning and most of our work is completed by mid afternoon. Average work hours are usually 8:30-4:30. Occasional evening hours will be scheduled to collect equipment, but this is infrequent. "After hours" work, before 7AM or after 7PM, will be paid time and a half.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS | TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The installation and take-down of event tents and other rental equipment, including staging, lighting, heating, furniture, decor, etc.;
- Cleaning and maintaining inventory;
- Organizing and prepping equipment for delivery;
- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and trailers;
- Clear and constant communication between warehouse and all job-site locations;
- Helping to maintain warehouse, grounds, and vehicles (cleanliness and organization);
- Basic carpentry projects;
- Ongoing tuning/repair of tools and shop equipment;
- Daily operations and projects as assigned by management team;
- Maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor with coworkers at all times
NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (also performed by other positions)
- Site preparation;
- Drop-off and pick-up of subrental items;
- Opening and closing of all shop locations, by turning on/off lights and locking/ unlocking doors;
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- No prior experience or training necessary;
- Clean driving record;
- Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled.

- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions and extreme temperatures

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
- Valid driver's license with clear driving record in order to operate a company vehicle and be placed on the company’s insurance
