Tent Crew Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Crew Lead is responsible for the supervision of tent techs as they help organize, maintain, prepare, deliver, set up and take down the equipment requested by our clients in a timely manner. The Crew Lead will work with ownership to ensure that crews and inventory are prepared for the week’s events and that strikes occur in both an efficient and timely manner. The Crew Lead is the point person for all “day-of” contact with the event planner, site representative or client when ownership is not present.

The Crew Lead will also help with the fabrication of inventory items, preparing/marking tent sites, driving company vehicles and installation of lighting and heating elements. This position is seasonal and currently only available during the summer. As a representative of Jackson Hole Event Rentals, a collaborative and friendly disposition is required.

HOURS/SHIFTS:

The Crew Lead will work five to six days per week, depending on the volume of events. Shifts begin early in the morning and most of our work is completed by mid afternoon. Occasional evening hours will be scheduled to collect equipment, but this is very infrequent. Any work completed outside of regular operating hours (7am-7pm) will be paid at time and a half of the hourly base rate. Overtime will also be paid at time and a half of regular hourly rate regardless of when those hours are worked.

BONUS STRUCTURE:

The Crew Lead is eligible for a bonus calculated at $1 per hour worked and payable after completing the regular season (working through 10/5). Additional bonuses and incentives will also be available based on performance and meeting annual revenue targets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS | TASKS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervising Tent Techs and assigning responsibilities;
• Collaboration with management team on the coordination of daily operations and projects;
• Clear and constant communication between warehouse and all job-site locations;
• The installation and take-down of event tents and other rental equipment, including staging, lighting, heating, furniture, decor, etc.;
• Cleaning and maintaining inventory;
• Organizing and prepping equipment for delivery;
• Loading and unloading delivery vehicles and trailers;
• Helping to maintain warehouse, grounds, and vehicles (cleanliness and organization);
• Basic carpentry skills;
• Ongoing tuning/repair of tools and shop equipment;
• Maintaining a positive and collaborative demeanor with coworkers at all times.

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: (also performed by other positions)

• Site preparation;
• Drop-off and pick-up of subrental items;
• Opening and closing of all shop locations, by turning on/off lights and locking/ unlocking doors;
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• No prior experience or training necessary;
• Clean driving record;
• Minimum of a high school diploma, GED, or currently enrolled.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:

• Valid driver's license with clear driving record in order to operate a company vehicle and be placed on the company’s insurance

Pay: $30.00 - $32.00 per hour
