Contract Position Announcement:
School-Based Dental Assistant
The Jackson County Health Department is accepting applications for a dental assistant to perform dental examinations and apply dental sealants to children at elementary and middle schools.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and their own vehicle with automobile insurance.
Benefits:
Employment with the Jackson County Health Department includes paid vacation leave, sick leave, and holidays. Compensation will be $17.24-$24.51 per hour based on experience, approximately 20 to 30 hours per week for approximately 30 weeks a year. Travel associated with this position will be reimbursed at the federal mileage reimbursement rate, currently $0.725 cents per mile. The dental sealant team has the flexibility to set their own schedule to serve local schoolchildren.
