Job Title: Lead Automotive Technician (A-Level)Experience Level: 5–8 Years (Advanced/Master Level)Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled A-Level Automotive Technician to join our team as a diagnostic specialist and lead mechanic. This role is designed for a technician who excels at solving "unsolvable" problems and thrives on high-level mechanical surgery. You will be the shop’s primary resource for complex engine work, including timing systems, and advanced electrical troubleshooting.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvanced Diagnostics: Utilize high-end scanners, lab scopes, and multi-meters to diagnose complex drivability issues, intermittent electrical faults, and communication (CAN bus) errors.Precision Engine Work: Perform deep-engine repairs with a heavy focus on timing chain and timing belt replacements, including VVT (Variable Valve Timing) troubleshooting and repairs.Electrical Systems: Execute wire-harness repairs, module programming, and diagnostic tracing of shorts, draws, and sensor failures.Major Mechanical Repair: Lead the shop in engine swaps, cylinder head repairs, and advanced powertrain troubleshooting.Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous road tests and system checks to ensure repairs are fixed right the first time (FRFT).Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and "second-eye" support to C-level and B-level technicians on difficult cases.Technical RequirementsExperience: 5–8 years of professional experience, specifically in a diagnostic-heavy or lead technician role.Diagnostic Mastery: Proficiency with OE-level diagnostic software (e.g., Snap-on Zeus, Autel, or factory-specific tools like Techstream, ISTA, or IDS).Precision Skills: Expert-level knowledge of engine timing, interference engines, and specialized torqueing procedures.Certifications: ASE Master Technician status (A1–A8) is strongly preferred.Tooling: Possession of a comprehensive set of professional tools, including diagnostic specialty equipment.

Salary : $900 - $1,200
