Maintenance Supervisor

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Supervise and provide leadership to Maintenance Department staff.
• Serve as a point of contact between the Maintenance Department and upper management.
• Learn and enforce all departmental and company policies and procedures.
• Perform upkeep within building and throughout property, including outside areas.
• Perform minor electrical repairs.
• Maintain HVAC system.
• Maintain plumbing, water and sewage systems.
• Perform carpentry duties.
• Operate all applicable equipment.
• Assist with maintenance of grounds, including sod laying, moving, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging and raking.
• Assist with winter snow removal, including snow shoveling, plowing, sanding and salting sidewalks and parking areas.
• Load and unload freight and deliver to the appropriate departments.
• Replace lightbulbs and clean air vents.
• Empty and clean trash containers and vacuum floors as needed.
• Maintain a neat appearance and courteous demeanor.
• Take pride in all work and responsibilities.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Maintenance experience required.
• 2 years of experience with minor electrical, basic plumbing and carpentry preferred.
• Must possess valid Minnesota Driver’s License. (Applicants with an out of state license must obtain a Minnesota license within 30 days of hire.)
• Boiler license and pool certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Minor electrical skills.
• Basic plumbing skills.
• Carpentry skills.
• Knowledge of hand tools, saws and drills.
• Cement finishing experience.
• Painting and wood finishing experience.
• Rubber roofing experience helpful.
• Able to learn basic HVAC equipment and computer.
• Mechanically inclined.

• Regular attendance and punctuality.
• Able and willing to work any changes in scheduled hours as required.
• Serve as a credit to Jackpot Junction Casino Hotel and encourage others to do the same.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Mobility throughout the facility.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to drive various vehicles.
