What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class B CDL Driver - Street Sweeper Operator position at Jacketta Sweeping Service?
About the Job:
We are looking for hard working individuals able to work long hours on their own in a dirty environment. The job consists of driving a street sweeper to construction, industrial and municipal locations throughout the Wasatch Front and sweeping up debris on those sites. Start times will vary and working weekends will be required at times. This is a year-round job. Hiring bonus available!
What We Offer:
- $25-$27 per hour starting
- Opportunity for Davis Bacon Wages ($35 per hour) on road construction projects
- Full time drivers can make between $70,000-$80,000 per year

- **$500 bonus after six months of employment with no safety incidents. **
Duties of the Job:
- Driving safely to job sites
- Knowledge of Salt Lake and surrounding areas
- Operating sweeper truck to clean up debris from streets and construction sites
- Getting in and out of the truck as needed to use a backpack blower, broom or shovel to clean areas the sweeper can't get to
- Washing and cleaning truck at the end of the shift, you will get dirty.
Requirements:
- Must have Class B CDL
- No more than one ticket on driving record in last 5 years, no DUI in past 10 years
- We are a Drug Free company, pre-employment, random and after accident drug tests performed
- Must have personal smart phone
- Must live in Salt Lake County
- Must be 21 yrs old or older
- Willing to work variable start times with some work overnight
- Willing to work on the weekends
