Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and licensed HVAC Technician with extensive experience in general property maintenance to join our team. This role involves performing repair, and maintenance of 7.5 Ton through 20 Ton Package HVAC systems, refrigeration units, plumbing, and other mechanical equipment across various properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, field service experience, and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems using schematics and diagnostic tools. A valid driver's license is required for this position. The successful applicant will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities through proactive maintenance and timely repairs.
Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning units and dehumidifiers.
- Perform routine maintenance on mechanical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
- Diagnose issues using schematics, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools; perform troubleshooting on electrical and mechanical components.
- Conduct plumbing repairs related to HVAC systems or property maintenance needs.
- Repair and maintain refrigeration units, including service of HVAC/R systems.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for equipment repair or modifications.
- Operate and interpret schematics for system diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities and repairs performed.
- Assist with property maintenance tasks such as appliance repair, equipment repair, and general upkeep to ensure safety standards are met.
- Comply with safety protocols during all maintenance activities; operate equipment safely within the scope of licensing and training.
Skills
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar field service role with construction or property maintenance background.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to HVAC design, refrigeration, plumbing, boilers, and general equipment repair.
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams efficiently.
- Experience with ammonia refrigeration systems is a plus.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
- Skilled in welding and mechanical repairs involving various materials.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required ( driver).
- Knowledge of HVAC/R standards, appliance repair, air conditioning systems, and boiler operation preferred.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in diverse environments requiring property maintenance expertise.
