Bartender - On Call

Bartender:Reporting to the Supervisor of Beverage, the Bartender serves alcoholic beverages within department and state liquor law guidelines. Prepares ordered drinks with proper portions and ingredients in accordance to company policies. Operates a cash register, ringing the proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change following all company policies. Maintains a clean, organized and fully stocked area in accordance to company.Essential Functions Provides fast, friendly, professional beverage service to casino guests and beverage servers. (2 minute or less production cycle for 15 drink tray)Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety proceduresMaintains clean and stocked workstation Operates a cash register, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at customer and public relations functions; appears in publicity photosPromotes casino events and programsWorks closely with JACK Club to promote new card sign up programs.Works well with others, especially Beverage Servers, Bartenders, Bar Porters, Beverage Supervisors, and VLT SupervisorsProvides personalized service and uses guest nameResolves service problems according to guidelinesKnowledge, Skills & AbilitiesMust be 21 years of ageRead, write legibly, understand and speak EnglishExcellent customer service/communication skillsCount money and change correctlyKnow cocktail ingredients and proper mixing and pouring techniquesAvailable to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as neededMust maintain high appearance standards as prescribed by Beverage department.Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel.Respond to visual and aural cues.Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment.Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights.Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not be frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives.Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively.Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand. Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.Required Certification/License Must be able to obtain an Ohio Lottery Commission license
